Taste of Italy: Seasonal menu

We think the Italians have nailed it when it comes to eating seasonally; beautiful ingredients combined in simple dishes. In this Italian cooking class we’ll focus on mixing the best produce with classic Italian cooking techniques, such as beautiful filled pastas, and grilled meats or seafood with flavour-packed sauces.

What to expect

With our Taste of… classes we want to get you excited about some of the amazing food that’s being cooked all around the world. There’s so much to learn and discover when it comes to regional cuisines, from new flavours to age-old traditions, this is just the starting point for many more kitchen adventures to come.

Learning some essential Italian recipes will set you up for seasonal cooking all year round. Our chefs will help you master something hearty like homemade pasta or gnocchi that you can serve with different fillings and toppings, as well as a quick-to-cook meat or fish dish. For example, in autumn this might be a wild mushroom hand-rolled tagliatelle, in winter prawns dressed with caper and toasted hazelnuts, or in spring some fresh herby ricotta and zingy lemon to brighten up pasta, veg and more.

There’s always room for a sweet treat to finish, whether that's a nutty Italian biscuit, fragrant citrus-scented cake or vibrant roasted fruits – and plenty of inspiration to take home to fuel your next Italian feasts. Buon appetito!
